St Joseph Council #3814 of the Knights of Columbus was founded in 1954. Our council hosts many activities throughout the year for the church, youth, family and our community. St. Joseph Council supports St. Joseph Parish in Oradell and Ascension Church in New Milford Our Council is located on 199 River Road, next to the Ambulance Corps, in New Milford, NJ.

Knights of Columbus Awards Night





June 24th the Council hosted it's annual awards night to recognize and commend individuals within the community who have served and represented the values of the Knights of Columbus. The Council also awarded the winners of the 1st Annual Scholarship Fund at the ceremony

St. Joseph Council Wins Best Website 2011 within Newark Archdiocese


At the 2011 State Convention in Wildwood, St. Joseph Council 3814 was awarded the best website in the Newark Archdiocese. The Council was awarded a plaque in it's honor and now hangs in Coogan Hall.

Knights of Columbus Award $500 Scholarships

St. Joseph Council of the Knights of Columbus of Oradell/New Milford is pleased to announce that they will award a $500 scholarship to each of the following 8th grade students:

· Donald Gherardi, of Oradell and St. Joseph Parish. Donald attends St. Joseph School and plans to attend Bergen Catholic High School .

· Julia DeSimone, of Oradell and St. Joseph Parish. Julia attends River Dell Middle School and plans to attend the Academy of the Holy Angels.

· Nicholas Peter Adams, of New Milford and Ascension Parish. Nicholas attends Transfiguration Academy and plans to attend Don Bosco Prep High School .

The Scholarships are given to those students who best exemplify the Knights of Columbus commitment of service to the church, school, and community, and who also excel in other areas of consideration including leadership, honors, school activities, and an essay on the K of C principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. The Scholarship recipients will receive their awards at the Council’s Community Awards night on June 24th at the Council Hall in New Milford .
