The Knights at Oradell Family Day

Representatives of the Knights were at hand at Oradell Family Day, Sunday Sept 26, 2010. The event lasted from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. The Knights had a table available with information on the Knights of Columbus. We had bags of potato chips for the kids to give out. We had a free raffle available for all participants of the event. We were able to give out a total 27 tickets to the Temple vs Army football game on Oct 2nd at West Point to 7 lucky people from our community. The Knights thank Army Athletic Department for the complimentary tickets and hope those who won enjoy the game with their families!

Homecoming Knight, a great success!

Friday September 24th marked our first annual Homecoming Knight at Coogan Hall. It was a great success to see old, new and familiar faces. This informal meeting night was an opportunity to come to a meeting for the first time or in a long time. A lot of great ideas were presented and we believe the council is going in the right direction with everyone's help. We will be trying to build a scholarship fund, continue to actively recruit younger candidates and build upon our great programs. We were also able to give out complimentary tickets to the Temple vs. Army game on Oct 2nd. For those going, enjoy the game. You deserve it! We have some more tickets
still available and we will be giving them out tomorrow at Oradell Day Sunday Sept 26th at Memorial Field from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. Stop by our booth or lend a hand if you can.

Since this night was a great success, we will be following it up with another informal social next month on October 22nd at 7:30pm. This time we will be challenging members to bring one new face to the meeting who was not there last social. We will open the bar up again and possibly have the opportunity to view the Yankees in the ALCS Game 6 if it goes that far. We can have it projected big screen and open it up to invite family members and friends to the event.

Stay tuned to our website and the parish bulletin for more info. Thank you again to all those who came and provided great feedback!
