8th Grade Scholarship

  2026 Scholarship Program

St. Joseph and Ascension Council No. 3814 will award $500 Scholarships to two current 8^th graders planning to attend a Catholic High School in the fall of 2026. Eligible scholarship applicants must be registered with St. Joseph Parish in Oradell, NJ or Ascension Parish in New Milford, NJ.  Selection will be based on criteria focusing on service to the church, school, and community, and an essay on the value of the Knights of Columbus principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity and Patriotism. 

Completed applications must be returned to St. Joseph Council and postmarked no later than Saturday, May 9 2026.   Winners will be announced in June.  Family and friends can attend the Award Ceremony at the Council Hall on Wednesday, June 10 at 7:30PM.

Coats for Kids Drive

Please help us help kids stay warm this winter. Coats will be donated to local families who do not have the resources to adequately meet this need.

Our mission is to make this seemingly small part of life a bit easier for their families. Please consider donating new or lightly used coats for kids. All ages and sizes are accepted.

 

Donations accepted before and after masses at St Joseph Church, Oradell and Church of the Ascension, New Milford.  The Drive will take place on the weekends of December. 6,7 and December 13,14.

Drop boxes will be located at each Church .

KNIGHTS of COLUMBUS

FREE THROW CHAMPIONSHIP

 

Saint Joseph/Ascension Knights of Columbus is sponsoring its Council Championship on Saturday, January, 10 2026

All boys and girls ages 9 to 14 are invited to participate in the Council Level competition.

All participants will be recognized for their participation in the event. Each respective age division winner will proceed to the District Competition.

All participants are required to provide proof of age (copy of birth certificate) and written parental consent. Age eligibility is determined by the age of the contestant as of January 1, 2026
