May Grand Knight Message

Dear Brother Knights,

As we draw to the close of the Columbian Year and I reflect upon our accomplishments and stumbling blocks, our strengths are in our ability to run successful and sold out fund raising events. These have enabled us to make contributions to all our desired charities.
By continuing to improve our council hall, we have increased our rental income which allows the Columbian Club to function autonomously.

With all the success, some of our stumbling blocks continues; increased membership which should be 15 new members each year, and to have the existing membership participate in the programs and advance in leadership rolls.

May 15, 2011 is World Day of Prayer for Vocations and is a priority for the order.
It is a time when we can encourage people to answer the call to the religious life.
Pray for the missions and those Christians still being imprisoned for their love of Jesus Christ.

Through our support of the supreme council, all councils continue to come to the aid of every Haitian child who lost a limb in the January 2010 earthquake. Under this program each of the children receives free prosthetics and physical therapy over the course of two years.

The Knights of Columbus continues to defend the words (Under God) in the United States Pledge of Allegiance. To date we have been upheld in every court of appeal.
Our fight continues!

We Knights for 38 years have opposed the Roe vs. Wade decision which has killed fifty-one million unborn children through surgical, medical or chemical abortions. This action has affected millions of people who suffered physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual consequences. Our fight continues!

Continue Praying for the men and women in our armed services, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless them, their families and our One Nation Under God.

Vivate Jesus,

Paul Noonan GK
